Will power

I am reminded how most of my problems come from my misuse of will power.

When I was drinking, I would create consequences I did not prefer so I would attempt to force myself to not drink or try to control the amount of alcohol I would drink.

This was my misuse of my willpower.

Neither of those actions ended as I had hoped.

It was because of the consequences I created that I was moved to a willingness to be open to the Divine design for my life.

During this journey of discovery, I have found how my dependence on the Divine Energy I choose to call God is paramount to my successfully creating the life I do prefer.

When I choose to follow what I now believe to be the will of God then I create the life I do prefer.

Today I understand God’s will is for me to enter each experience with compassion, acceptance, appreciation, understanding, empathy, kindness, peace, and love.

As I start each day with this mantra and carry it with me, I discover I am peaceful, content, confident, joyful, and serene.

May each of you allow yourself the gift of finding and following God’s will for your life.

You are Love and Loved.
