Tom Morrison

The root of change.

When I tried to change for the better, I would hold thoughts of how impressed others would be.

I would think I was going to be amazing when I made those changes for everyone else.

I did not realize I would end up depressed, frustrated, angry, and rageful.

In my experience, the root of real change was found when I dug deep inside of my own past experiences and resulting beliefs.

I needed to complete an honest moral inventory of myself, removing all others, removing blame and judgement of others, only looking at me and my part.

I am the only one in charge of my reactions to life, therefore My beliefs and thoughts are the only thing I needed to change.

When I was honest enough about the old hurts, traumas, abuse, and the messages I took on about me not being worthy, good enough, to dumb, fat, short, and ugly and I allowed myself to release myself from those messages, I began to heal and see my true worth and values.

Today I know there is no source outside of me creating my beliefs, thoughts, feelings and reactions.

Today I am in power, and I choose to be good enough, powerful, happy, joyful, serene, and Loving.

May each of you allow yourself the gift of getting to the root of your change.

You are Love and Loved.
