I am reminded how this thought process can kill an individual’s motivation, self-confidence, and happiness.
When we choose to live in victimhood, we are choosing self-pity.
When we are convinced, others are better than us and we wallow in sorrow we are choosing self-pity.
Even when we bemoan our successes by downplaying them, we are choosing self-pity.
Self-pity is the ultimate selfishness for it is all about the self and the ego.
What is the cure?
A willingness to be of service to others.
Claiming the Will of God for you and your life.
Focusing on appreciation for everything in your life.
Making an effort to be present to others in your life and hold gratitude for each person with whom you interact.
May each of you allow yourself the gift of appreciation today.
You are Love and Loved.
