I am reminded of the importance of rest and renewal.
I can work all day long and complete every task, yet if I do not rest, I will not have completed any task well.
Rest is not only physical but spiritual, mental and emotional.
I have discovered I can do each task of my day very well when I stop, breathe, meditate, reset, and start again.
As an example, I will begin each day when I awaken, I make statements of appreciation and then set my intentions.
I then take time to read from my meditation books, meditate and then write.
Later while in the gym, I will take time to breathe and focus my thoughts on gratitude and remind myself of my intentions.
At work I use my break times to eat, breathe, meditate, and focus again on my gratitude for my amazing life.
After work I retreat to the back patio, smudge, breathe, meditate and appreciate my life.
Each of these times I am providing myself rest and renewal.
