Tom Morrison

Pharisee no more

I am reminded how I am to have appreciation for those beings I have found difficult to accept.

Not so long ago I would place myself above others and judge them as being wrong, bad, evil, stupid, lost or the like.

I then realized that I no longer wanted to be the bully, so I placed a cloak of humility over me and stopped judging those below me and started to silently judge those who place themselves above others.

Eventually I felt so much dis-ease within that I had to accept the fact that all are equal, and I owe a debt of appreciation to all those who are different than I for teaching me true acceptance and Love.

I have had the most difficult time with those whom I judge as self-righteous until I realized I was only hurting myself with those judgments.

Today I am a pharisee no more.

Today I choose to enter every experience with compassion, acceptance, understanding, kindness, appreciation, and love.

May each of you allow yourself the gift losing all judgements.

You are Love and Loved.
