I am reminded how I treat others begins within me.
Others have no control over how I perceive them and how I treat them.
My responses to others are completely within my control and my design.
This idea struck hard when I first considered it and it took me years to fully integrate it into my daily practices and I have yet to reach 100 percent in the area of implementation.
However, I am also reminded that I do my best when I am in the mode of progress over perfection.
To that point, each morning I make statements of appreciation for the particulars in my life.
I follow that with stating my intentions for the day.
Those intentions include today I will enter each experience with compassion, understanding, kindness, acceptance, appreciation, humor, peace and Love.
During the day when I find I have fallen short of those intentions, I stop, breathe, reset, and start again.
May each of you allow yourself a healthy response to others.
You are Loved.
