I am reminded that the Divine design for my life will play out.
I have free will in how I participate in that design.
I was meant to be sober; however, I continued to drink even as the indications that I needed to stop got stronger.
I would feel the remorse, guilt, shame, self-hatred after each drinking episode yet eventually I would drink again.
Finally, I had one last drunk, lost my mental composure, attempted to drive myself into a river, missed, and won a 72-hour hold.
That was the beginning of the transformation of my life.
Over the years I have slowly learned lessons of emotional maturity, spiritual awareness, acceptance, appreciation, and overall growth.
I have had the regular emotional, mental, and physical ups and downs of the human being, and I get to grow through each of them when I take the time to learn the lesson.
Today I choose to trust the Divine design for my life.
I say thank you to the creator at the beginning of every day, during the day, and at the end of the day.
May each of you find the Divine design for your life today.
You are Loved.
