Maintain

In the beginning of my recovery, I would preach about how I had been saved from alcohol and I would tell that to everyone!

Until my sponsor pointed out how I was doing more bragging that service work.

I also loved to use my newfound recovery to try to impress people, especially beautiful young women, even though I was married.

I lived out many contradictions during this journey of discovery.

Each one offering me a new lesson about me and my highest self.

Eventually I discovered that I needed to create and maintain a set of routines with which I could gain a conscious awareness of my Creator and the divine design for my life.

These routines have changed over the years and currently I have a practice which works well for me.

I wake up each morning saying thank you, I set my intentions, do meditations and breathwork.

During the day I do check-ins to make sure I am taking the time to become conscious of my breathing and my conversations with God.

At the end of my day, I say thank you and do one last meditation.

May each of you create your best way to maintain your connection with the Creator.

You are Loved.
