I am reminded of my years of illegitimate pride and the damage it caused to myself, my relationships, and my connection to the Divine Creator.
It is spawned by the ego and sustained through fear of lack, and fear of being less than.
It is shown through degrading of others for any reason, bragging about being better than anyone, and maintaining a separatist mindset.
When my ego finally brought me to my breakdown and it was crushed by the Light, I started my journey as a seeker.
Ever since then I have ebbed and flowed in and out of my egoic mind and found so many lessons about Love of self and others.
Being united to all beings through Source Energy and feeling appreciation as a member of this creation is my daily payoff.
Today I choose to begin every morning with appreciation statements, setting my intentions, and meditation.
Today I intend to enter every experience with compassion, empathy, kindness, appreciation, understanding, acceptance, peace, and Love.
May each of you allow yourself the gift of appreciation because you are an amazing creation.
