This morning’s meditation.
If it’s not mine.
I am reminded to leave others blame to themselves.
When I was young, I took on the belief that I was incharge of the happiness of all other beings in my life.
This meant that if someone was having a bad day it was my fault and I needed to do something to save them.
It also meant that when someone blamed me for their feelings and emotions, I accepted the guilt and shame.
Over the years I have worked at creating new beliefs which released me from the shame/guilt cycle of self-defeat.
I learned how to do a self-inventory which only looked into my part of each relationship. This process clarified for me, what I could change about me for my greatest good and how to let others live their own lives.
Today when I feel the old reactions of making everyone else happy arise within me, I stop, breathe, rest, and focus on my greatest good and giving the others the grace to have their own experiences.
May each of you find what is yours and what is theirs.
You are Loved.
