Finding God’s will.

This was the great mystery of my life for many years.

I struggled to try to understand what God had planned for me while I am here on earth.

I prayed and meditated and spoke with other people because I really wanted to do God’s will and be great at it.

Eventually I just stopped trying and quit my inquiry all together.

I grew tired from all the work of trying to find God’s will.

That is when I discovered it. God’s will for me is to be the best me I can be each moment of each day.

No judgement, no pretending to be what I think others believe I should be, just be me.

That is when I actually started to enjoy life and have fun with being me.

God’s will is not a test or a trial, it is living out whatever excites us for as long as it excites us.

Beig a drug and alcohol counselor, author, perspectives coach, and personal trainer is exciting to me so that is what I will be today.

Being a husband, father, friend, brother, uncle, stepdad, and all-around good guy excites me so that is what I will do today.

May each of you find out God’s will for you today.

You are Love and Loved.
