I did not understand this concept at first and then as I tried to hurry through the meditation readings it occurred to me.
Hurry is a symptom of the fever of life.
How else would I recognize the fever of life?
It is in the subtle things, the tension in my jaw, clinching my fist, the furrowing of my brow, and the ruminating thoughts.
When I become aware of any of the symptoms, I know it is time to stop, take three deep breathes and to release myself from those symptoms.
This brings my back to a conscious awareness of the present moment and my opportunity to express appreciation.
When I can maintain conscious awareness then I get to stay in the present moment without judgement and thus stay in the peace of serenity.
Daily meditations, affirmations, appreciations, and setting of intentions allows me the discipline to remain in the present moment.
May each of you allow yourself the gift of finding your calm.
You are Love and Loved.
