I am reminded how we are all equal, not the same, but still equal.
I remember how I believed others were above me and more people were below me. I didn’t mean it as a disrespectful thing just as a fact of the human condition.
Fortunately, I discovered I was wrong.
Throughout my career I have counseled people who came from the street and others who came from their mansions, each of them suffering from their own brand of misery.
Being one who has dealt with multiple demons of his own I could appreciate the struggles each person experienced.
My experience has translated into acceptance of all beings.
Acceptance ended my unhealthy view of being above or below anyone.
Today I choose to meet each being with compassion, empathy, kindness, understanding, peace, and Love.
I am reminded to include myself in that group. Today I will experience myself with compassion, empathy, kindness, understanding, peace, and Love.
May each of you allow yourself the gift of living in acceptance.
