Discipline brings joy.

When I was a child, I believed discipline was a negative painful experience.

Any time I heard the word, no matter the context I would feel fear and anxiety, based on the beliefs I took on about discipline.

This perspective removed the joy of learning martial arts, musical instruments, and other actives I tried in my younger years.

During this road trip of spiritual awakening, I have learned how discipline brings peace of mind, and joy.

Discipline allows me consistency, knowledge, progress, and desire for more.

To be disciplined in my life I allow for a balance between routine and spontaneity.

I can go places on a whim and still eat healthy.

I can take a road trip and still get in my exercises each day.

I can allow for a day or two of different experiences and still be joyful.

Discipline is not rigid control and limited experiences.

Discipline is creating a consistent, healthy, and balanced mindset towards life.

My daily routine of setting my intentions, statements of appreciation, affirmations, and meditation provide me the time and space to connect with the Divine Source Energy which gives me the peace and joy I desire.

May each of you allow yourself the gift of discipline today.

You are Love and Loved.
