Checking on myself.

In almost every experience I had a habit of checking to make sure others were doing life the “right” way.

When I was religious, brother, son, uncle, nephew, student, and in any sport, I played I would silently critique others and judge how they were doing it wrong.

I would exhaust myself with constant judgement and corrections even though how others were living was none of my business.

In my recovery years I have discovered I was simply placing myself above the others in my head so I could try to make myself feel better about me.

When I catch myself judging others, I now know I am responding from a place of dis-ease within me. A faulty belief I have about myself which I need to heal.

Today I choose to focus on how I can best Love myself and in turn Love others.

My daily practice of setting my intentions, statements of appreciation, affirmations, and meditations, brings me into alignment with the Divine and eternal Love that is God.

Throughout the day I get to check myself to ensure I am living in alignment with my highest being and living out my highest good.

May each of you allow yourself the gift of checking on yourself.

You are Love and Loved.
