Tom Morrison

To be of service for the joy.

When I first got introduced to being of service to others, I continued to respond with the old belief that I needed to get some form of payment for my service or kindness.

It took me quite a while to break from that old belief and to create a true desire to be of service for the joy of it.

It just so happened that I was in recovery from alcoholism when I was given a new motivation.

Be of service to stay sober.

To an alcoholic of my variety, that was all I needed. I desperately wanted to stay sober and find happiness.

Today I choose to keep any “good deeds” to myself, and I see being of service as a lifestyle.

Today I choose to enter each experience with compassion, empathy, kindness, understanding, peace and Love.

May each of you allow yourself the gift of being of service for the joy of it.

You are Love and Loved.
