Instruction vs destruction

Life experiences provide me with instruction or destruction.

As I have gone through life, I have had many experiences which I believed told me I was a bad person and I lived in guilt and shame.

I would work really hard to be a better person and try to prove I was a good person.

I did do some things which looked good, yet I still believed I was not good enough.

During this journey I have come to find that it is my self-view not my deeds which dictates how I feel.

I can do every amazing thing but if my self-view still says I am not good enough I will never be able to do enough.

I learned how to take each experience, identify how I feel and why I feel that way and then replace the beliefs about myself behind each feeling of guilt or shame.

I am learning how to see my feelings and instructions.

When I feel bad, I check on the why I choose that feeling and change it.

When I feel happiness, joy, and peace I have nothing to change.

The two thought processes I work on consistently are acceptance and appreciation.

These have been two of the most instructive thought processes I have ever used.

When I live in acceptance that life is exactly as it is supposed to be in my life today, I can experience peace.

When I live in appreciation, I will attract more things I appreciate.

This process has taken me many years, and I continue to go through more changes today.

May each of you find your instructions for your responses to life.

You are Loved.
