Tom Morrison

Self-pity or self-esteem.

I am reminded of these two choices.

I can live in self-pity and the resulting fear, sadness, victimhood, and depression or I can live in a positive self-esteem with the resulting confidence, happiness, joy, peace, and freedom.

I have lived in each of these states, and I prefer a healthy self-esteem.

In the self-pity I had a dependence on others to tell me I was a good person and when they got tired of holding up my ego they would leave and I was right back to my self-pity.

In my healthy self-esteem, I get to be confident in the gifts and talents given me.

I get to maintain a positive outlook towards life.

I get to be present to others in a spirit of service, kindness, acceptance, appreciation, peace, and Love.

May each of you create a healthy self-esteem.

You are Loved.
