Tom Morrison

Three essentials.

I am reminded of the three essentials for my freedom and happiness.

Humility, fearlessness, and honesty.

When I first got sober, I was fearful of judgement of myself and from others.

I hid my fear behind arrogance which, in and of itself, is dishonest.

I was also maintaining secrets which were eating away at me.

When I was finally sick enough physically and emotionally, I told all my secrets, and I went through an ego death which manifested in an emotional breakdown.

It was from that experience that I have slowly discovered humility, courage, and honesty.

Today I get to walk through each day with the ability to look anyone in the eye for I have no more secrets.

Each morning, I thank what I choose to call God for my amazing life, and I set the intentions to enter each experience with understanding, compassion, empathy, humor, kindness, peace, acceptance, appreciation, and Love.

May each of you find your essentials to your happiness, and freedom.

You are Loved.
