Honesty

I am reminded how honesty can be the best policy and it can be hurtful.

During this spiritual road trip, I have gone through phases of development in my honesty.

I have used factual honesty with the intention of being right and therefore hurting others.

I have used convenient honesty in order to look like the good guy.

I have used honesty to manipulate others.

I have found how these are helpful in my spiritual growth, in that they teach me what does not work.

Honesty, wrapped in compassion and humility seems to be the healthiest and most useful form.

Through this form of honesty, I have found a new happiness and a new freedom.

Today, my intention is to compassionate and humble in my honesty.

May each of you find the freedom that comes from honesty.

You are Loved.
