I am reminded how many people are brought together through common interests, cultures, religions, hobbies, sports, and experiences.
I am also aware of groups of people who are brought together due to a common problem.
It is interesting to me how those who have lived through active addiction and are growing in their recovery lifestyles are the most diverse group of people.
This group of humans gather together based on their experiences of almost completely destroying their lives and rebuilding new lives.
They usually have nothing else in common, in fact if it were not for their surviving addiction and beginning a new life, they would not mix.
How does the group actually get along well enough to help each other build new, healthy lives?
We allow unity through acceptance.
Every person I have met in this lifestyle has been in my life, as they are, for my greatest good.
I do not have to agree with how any one of them lives their life, and I do not judge them for how they live.
I live in acceptance of each being without judgement or need to change them.
What if we all did this in our lives?
Could we allow unity through acceptance?
May each of you allow unity in your life today.
You are Love and Loved.
